.NET, C# APPLICATION DEVELOPER


General Summary:

Works with user departments to meet their performance goals by recommending, developing, and implementing desktop applications and extracts from data stores.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Works with end user departments to create application solutions using software tools such as PL/SQL, ASP.NET,   XML, C#.Net, and Lotus Notes R7. Completes database development, system documentation, and business process re‑engineering functions.

·         Creates, modifies, and executes ad‑hoc reports against multiple databases, as requested by end user departments, utilizing tools such as Crystal Reports.

·         Documents, catalogs, maintains procedure manuals related to tasks.

·         Assists Information Systems team with operational duties on the LAN, servers and desktop environment.

·         Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.  Participates in internal and external meetings and seminars.

·         Performs various tasks and related duties, as needed, to meet division and corporate goals.

·         Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. 

·         Maintains intradepartmental and interdepartmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.

·         Actively supports the Guarantee Of Service Excellence program directly, or by supporting teammates and the company in GOSE related duties and activities.

·         Interacts with clients, coworkers, and management in positive, supportive, and cooperative ways.

·         Exercises good judgment in the performance of duties.

·         Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 

Job Specifications:

Associates degree in Computer Science or related field plus at least four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills.  Must have excellent communication skills and be able to receive and dispense information in person and over the telephone.

Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines effectively.

Must be proficient with hardware and software systems.  Must have a working knowledge of PL/SQL, XML, ASP.Net, and C#.Net.   Lotus Notes R7 and VB.NET are pluses.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision both independently and in a team setting.

Must be attentive to detail and produce an accurate work product.

Must be able to plan, organize, coordinate and monitor projects.

Must have excellent problem solving skills.

Must be able to keep information confidential and protect the privacy of applicants, employees, and customers, as appropriate, or as outlined by federal and state law and corporate guidelines.

Must have a valid driver's license.
